Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) Course
I have completed a certified dementia practitioner course and am the only certified CDP instructor in Kansas by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. I feel grateful to provide the critical - and required - courses statewide to both health professionals on a path to becoming certified dementia practitioners, as well as anyone whose life is being impacted by dementia.
Nurses & Direct Care Staff - Care Managers & Administrators - Directors of Nursing & Activity Directors - Home Care Agencies -
Friends / Family / Relatives
Taught both in person and online, the course provides key tools to ease tension, frustration, and conflict - for all involved. With everyone sharing a common goal and practicing new and proven skills, the person with dementia sees less decline and anxiety. In some cases, medication is decreased or even eliminated.
